Avik Kumar Maitra was born in Calcutta in 1978. After having a surprisingly well-adjusted (if somewhat lonely) childhood and teenage, he studied Chemistry and Computer Science in college, before realising that his calling lay elsewhere. A comics-lover from the age of 2, he finally became a professional at 26, and has been working in the industry ever since (except for a two-year break to study Interactive Media in Netherlands). He likes Scarlett Johansson, street dogs, and alcohol – in no particular order, and definitely not in the same way.
